25 January 2016 / Categories: News CM2000 sends computers to Africa As a leading-edge IT company, CM2000 regularly upgrade our hardware to ensure it meets the needs of our expanding customer base. However, equipment that no longer meets our exacting standards is often still in good working order so we’ve found the perfect way to prolong its use and add value to communities that don’t have the same access to technology that we take for granted in the UK. Home Leone is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in Sierra Leone. CM2000 has donated a range of computer equipment to help Home Leone support business and communities. CM2000’s Managing Director, Mark Thomas, says “We are delighted that our old computers can help this amazing project, in one of the poorest countries in the world. The computers will help with valuable job-creation and training work that Home Leone are doing.” This is just one of a number of exciting projects CM2000 is working on to support IT training in Africa.
